Dr. Donna M. Beegle and guest presenters will provide participants with a deeper understanding of poverty and what works to improve the lives of Louisiana's children and adults—from the perspectives of people who have lived and studied poverty. Institute attendees will immerse in life-changing poverty simulations and activities and gain practical strategies they can use immediately to make a difference. This institute is for professionals in the fields of education, health, legal, social service, housing, non-profits, elected offices, and businesses, along with faith-based and community members who want to see children and adults move out and stay out of the crisis of poverty.
